Ant killers, ant bait stations and gels
Spraying the ants you can see rarely solves an ant problem, because the nest survives and sends more. Bait stations and gels work differently: worker ants carry the bait back to the colony and the queen. Use a contact spray only for instant relief on worktops, and powder for outdoor nest entrances.
Our top picks
• FERRIS Ant Bait Stations (4-pack): cover several entry points at once
• Combat Ant Killing Gel: precision syringe for ants coming out of cracks
• Nippon Ant Stop Bait Stations (2pk): a classic, low-cost bait for a single trail
• Barrettine MoBe Bait Stations (4-pack): enclosed stations for homes with pets
• Ant Killer Powder: for nest entrances in patios and paths
How to get the best results
• Put bait right on the ant trail, and don’t spray or wipe the trail while ants are feeding.
• Expect more ants for a day or two. That means they’ve found the bait.
• Give baits 3–7 days to reach the colony.
• Seal entry gaps once activity stops.
