Mouse traps, mouse killers and repellents

Mice breed fast. One mouse in the kitchen usually means more behind the skirting boards, so act at the first droppings. Here you’ll find snap traps, humane catch-and-release traps, pre-baited bait boxes and repellents for homes, lofts and garages, with picks for homes with pets and children.

Our top picks
• Uflix Quick-Snap Mouse Traps (4-pack): fast, reusable and poison-free; our first choice for most kitchens
• KENNEAS Humane Mouse Traps: catch and release, for anyone who doesn’t want to kill
• Pre-Baited Mouse Control Boxes: for established infestations, used in locked boxes
• Roshield Rodent Proofing Mesh: seal the gaps so mice can’t get back in

How to get the best results
• Set traps along walls and behind appliances, because mice rarely cross open floor.
• Use several traps a metre or two apart. One trap is rarely enough.
• Bait with a pea-sized dab of peanut butter or chocolate spread.
• Find and block entry holes once activity stops. A mouse can squeeze through a gap the width of a pencil.
